Emergency Broadband Benefit Program
| You may be eligible for a variety of benefits, including Emergency Broadband Benefits, health insurance benefits, and unemployment insurance. The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program As a 2020–21 or 2021–22 Federal Pell Grant recipient, you are eligible for the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC’s) Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) Program. The EBB Program offers your household up to $50 per month to pay for broadband service (up to $75 per month if you live on eligible tribal lands). The program also offers a one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet purchased from a participating service provider if you pay more than $10 but less than $50 of the purchase price. The EBB Program is a temporary program and will expire either when the program runs out of funds or six months after the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services declares an end to the COVID-19 emergency. The EBB Program is a household benefit, so your household cannot receive multiple EBB Program benefits, even if several people in your household qualify. Visit GetEmergencyBroadband.org to learn more, including how the EBB Program defines a household and how to apply. How to Apply for The EBB Program To apply, fill out an application (either online, by mail, or through a participating service provider) and submit documentation that you are a current Pell Grant recipient. To demonstrate your eligibility, you can submit a copy of this email or any of the following documents that confirm you received a Pell Grant for the current award year:
