"In high school back in the 80's (ha ha ha) the student government would have a carnation sale. There were red, pink and white, each had a different meaning. Red(you "loved" them) Pink (had a crush) and White (just friends). You had the option of sending it with or without your name. Throughout the school day if someone had bought you a carnation, it would be delivered to you, in your class." ~ Jill Marty
